LESAF project, as part of the CleanSky2 initiatives, is present in the main in-flight connectivity forums. Recently, an interview with our project coordinator, Manuel González, has been published in the prestigious magazine InFlight-Online. The article deals with the current status of in-flight satcom solutions and the perspectives of electronically steerable antennas (ESA) in the medium and long term.
Our vision is that ESA’s time is coming, “ESA solutions offer a degree of reconfigurability and scalability which address a variety of applications and markets, from high connectivity and low latency to high interoperability between constellations. We believe the ESA solution will take greater presence in the market in the second half of this decade and dominate in the next decade.”
